JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks an Assistant Fashion Designer is expected to perform include:

  • ​​Planning and preparing design collection of garments

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1
  • ​Preferably, 12th
  • Certified training for Assistant Fashion Designer (programme aligned to AMH/Q 1210 released by Apparel, Made–Ups and Home Furnishing)​​
KEY COMPETENCIES 1
  • Knowledge of the various types of garments (shirts, skirts, trousers, etc.) and the types of garment parts like types of sleeves, collars, necklines, etc.​
  • Knowledge of fabric and garment manufacturing processes and technology
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, CorelDraw, Photoshop, etc. for digital design development
  • Knowledge of colour theory, print motifs, embroideries and other ornamentations as applicable to fashion garments and this style​
  • Knowledge about the sequence while assembling the cut panels during stitching
  • Ability to create techpack​ and proto sample

  • Ability to work under high pressure
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to follow instructions​
