JOB DESCRIPTION ¹

The tasks a Validation Supervisor is expected to perform include:

Monitoring and conducting cleaning and process and equipment validation activities during the manufacturing process
Providing guidance to workmen on validation issues and documentation
Co-ordinating with supervisor and team members
Working with cross functional teams to carry out validation activities
Maintaining reporting and documentation

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING ¹

Preferably, D.Pharma/diploma/B.Sc. in a scientific or engineering related field
Certified training for Validation Supervisor (programme aligned to LFS/Q0305 released by Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council)

KEY COMPETENCIES ¹

Knowledge of basics of chemistry, principles of the process, measuring units and method of performing simple chemical calculation
Proficient in high level concepts of microbiology, analytical chemistry and biotechnology
Knowledge of basic mathematical concepts
Knowledge of application of statistical, risk assessment, experimental design and process improvement tools
In-depth knowledge of operating requirements, parameters and corrective action required where operation is outside specified operating parameters
Knowledge of the inspection or test points (control points) in the process and the related procedures and recording requirements
Knowledge of requirements of different shutdowns as appropriate to the process and workplace production requirements
Proficient in carrying out statistical analysis of test data
Knowledge of basic computer applications/software
