JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks a Validation Supervisor is expected to perform include:

  • Monitoring and conducting cleaning and process and equipment validation activities during the manufacturing process
  • Providing guidance to workmen on validation issues and documentation
  • Co-ordinating with supervisor and team members
  • Working with cross functional teams to carry out validation activities
  • Maintaining reporting and documentation​

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1
  • Preferably, D.Pharma/diploma/B.Sc. in a scientific or engineering related field
  • Certified training for Validation Supervisor (programme aligned to LFS/Q0305 released by Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council)​
KEY COMPETENCIES 1
  • Knowledge of basics of chemistry, principles of the process, measuring units and method of performing simple chemical calculation
  • Proficient in high level concepts of microbiology, analytical chemistry and biotechnology
  • Knowledge of basic mathematical concepts
  • Knowledge of application of statistical, risk assessment, experimental design and process improvement tools
  • In-depth knowledge of operating requirements, parameters and corrective action required where operation is outside specified operating parameters
  • Knowledge of the inspection or test points (control points) in the process and the related procedures and recording requirements
  • Knowledge of requirements of different shutdowns as appropriate to the process and workplace production requirements
  • Proficient in carrying out statistical analysis of test data
  • Knowledge of basic computer applications/software​
