JOB DESCRIPTION 1
The tasks an Engineer, Waterworks is expected to perform include:

Planning and directing activities concerned with installation, operation, maintenance, and service of water utility systems

Directing activities of engineers engaged in preparing designs and plans to construct, enlarge, and modify such facilities as water treatment plants, watersheds, and dams , hydroelectric stations, pumping stations, and to install water mains, and other appurtenances

Providing engineering and technical direction for planning and designing of water utility projects

Reviewing plans and specifications prior to instituting project to determine whether they meet organizational requirements

Analysing and compiling data received from engineers to prepare budget estimates
-
Directing and coordinating Engineers in conducting studies
-
Conferring with municipal authorities concerning budget requirements, changes in organizational policy, regulation of water rates and plumbing requirements, or other problems affecting community

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Need to handle a team of engineers
- Local travelling is a part of this job role
- Part-time work and contractual jobs are available in some cities
- Work from home option is not available
| Working hours- Construction companies usually work for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company
- Shift system maybe available
- Being self-employed is also an option. In this case, the working hours and days will be flexible

Minimum – Degree in Chemical / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering |

EXPECTED EARNINGS 4
- For candidates with up to 2 years’ experience –₹ 35,000 to ₹ 37,000 per month
- For candidates with 2 to 5 years’ experience – ₹ 44,500 to ₹ 45,500 per month
- For candidates with over 5 years’ experience – ₹ 53,000 to ₹ 54,000 per month
