The tasks a Draughtsman, Topographical is expected to perform include:

• Sketching topographical drawings to scale in different colours using blueprint prepared from field plane tables

• Carrying out projection of small scale map independently

• Working hours are 10/12 hours everyday for 5/6 days a week

• Proficiency in independently projecting a small scale map to predetermined size, incorporating features covered in survey

• Knowledge of sketching topographical drawings to scale in different colours using blueprint

• Well-versed with producing total geographical effect by hill shading, giving contours, profile, cross sections, authorized symbols, etc.

• Knowledge of using grid tables, projection table compasses, pantograph, planimeter, etc.
