JOB DESCRIPTION 1
The tasks a Cement Finisher is expected to perform include:
  • Finishing surfaces of concrete structures
  • Smoothing surfaces of freshly poured concrete sections
  • Cutting ridges, bumps and projecting wire from concrete surface with chisel and hammer
  • Patching holes and broken corners by wetting them and spreading mortar and smoothing the surface with trowel or float
  • Removing blemishes and smoothing surface by wetting or applying liquid mixture
  • Rubbing with abrasive black
  • Finishing surface by wiping it with damp brush
  • Levelling, smoothing and shaping surfaces of freshly poured concrete sections

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

  • It is a not desk job

  • May need to handle a team

  • Local travelling is a part of this job role

  • Part-time work and contractual jobs are available in some cities

  • Work from home option is not available

Working hours

  • Companies usually work for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company

  • Shift system maybe available

  • Being self-employed is also an option. In this case, the working hours and days will be flexible
