JOB DESCRIPTION 1
The tasks an Assistant Scaffolder Level-2 is expected to perform include:

Erecting scaffolds, rigs, guard rails, shoring or braces
-
Erecting and dismantling towers for creating moulds and steel gauges
-
Erecting and dismantling towers in confined areas
-
Erecting and dismantling staircases and lift towers
-
Accessing scaffolds up to 18 meteres for materials handling and finishing works
-
Erecting and dismantling of conventional staging made of bamboo and pipes
-
Performing tasks under health, safety and environmental regulations

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work from home is not available

- Travelling is required for this job
- Role does not involve team handling
| Working hours- Working hours are a minimum of 8 hours a day for 5 to 6 days a week
- The job involves frequent extended hours, working in shifts and on holidays

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING 1
- Minimum - Preferably 5th standard pass with normal reading, writing and understanding
- Certified training for Assistant Scaffolder Level-2 (programme aligned to CON/Q 0303 released by Construction Skill Development Council)

KEY COMPETENCIES 1
- Detailed knowledge of the names and use of tools
- Working knowledge of the sequence of erection and dismantling
- Ability to perform simple calculations pertaining to carpentry
- Ability to check scaffolding tools prior to use
- Understanding of how to identify, select and use basic dressing material, first aid and PPEs
- Sound knowledge of accident, health, safety and evacuation procedures and their reporting

DESIRABLE COMPETENCIES 1
Trained for 6 to 8 weeks so to qualify test and assessments by authorised agency for NOS level-2. |
