JOB DESCRIPTION 1

The tasks a Building Insulator, Hand is expected to perform include:

  • Nailing or wiring bats of insulating material

  • Nailing or wiring bats of rock wood or spun glass to interiors of walls, on altic roots and on bottom of floors

  • Nailing slabs to walls and ceilings for additional security

  • Sawing slabs to make them fit at ends of courses and around casing with sheets or loose particles of insulating material

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

  • It needs one to be on toes

  • Need not handle a team

  • Local travelling is a part of job

  • Part-time work and contractual jobs are available in some cities

  • Work from home option is not available

Working hours

  • Companies usually work for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company

  • Shift system maybe available

KEY COMPETENCIES 1

  • Well-versed in examining drawings and other specifications

  • Knowledge of spreading hot asphalt on surface and embeds courses of cork slabs in it

  • Knowledge of spreading cement mortar with trowel on slabs and sticks them to surface

  • Proficient in insulating material to hot or cold air ducts and pipes
