JOB DESCRIPTION ¹

The tasks a Cleaner, Motor Vehicle is expected to perform include:

Cleaning and lubricating moving parts of motor cars, trucks and other vehicles
Filling oil cans, grease guns with required type of lubricant
Lubricating vehicles according to charts, instructions or own judgement
Injecting oil or grease into various parts of engine or chassis
Cleaning or replacing clogged or damaged lubricators
Examining oil levels in gear box, crankcase, steering box, etc.
Draining out old oil as required
Reporting apparent defects to mechanic

WORK ENVIRONMENT ^{2, 3}

It is not a desk job
Need not handle a team
Local travelling is not part of this job role
Part-time jobs are not available
Work from home is not applicable

Working hours

Organizations usually work for 5/6 days a week for 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from organization to organization

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING ⁴

Preferably, 10^th pass or ITI in automotive industry

KEY COMPETENCIES ¹

Knowledge of all cleaning solutions, abrasive materials and cleaning equipment
Basic understanding of the technical aspects of the vehicle to avoid any damage
Knowledge of oil requirements of different engines
Familiar with lubricating agents and lubricating process
