While ‘Jobs through NCS’ are those jobs which are directly posted on NCS portal by the employers.

Yes, you can add more users to an Employer’s profile. The primary user (the one who created the profile) can access ‘User Management’ tab on the left panel of the employer’s account in order to add more Users to the profile.

It is advisable to Close Job and Notify Recruitment for the jobs posted on the portal after the recruitment process has been completed. After you login into your account, this can be done by clicking on the 'Jobs and Responses' link in the panel on the left side of the screen. Counsellors/VG Experts are required to get the aforementioned document verification and submission done at the nearest employment exchange/career center /model career center, details of which can be found on NCS portal.
Upon registration, Counselors can avail a host of services such as register and update profile, personalized dashboard with all the appointments details, option to publish their availability calendar, online management of appointments and access to psychometric tests to assess the candidate's personality/aptitude/interest etc. Counsellor can also search and apply for jobs.
There are two kinds of empanelment i.e. empanelment of Counselors and empanelment of Vocational Guidance Expert on NCS portal.
Vocational Guidance (VG) Experts are the approved guidance/counselling experts on NCS platform, having quality counselling experience in their relevant fields like HR/ Recruitment/Selection/Public Relation/Finance/Marketing etc.

You can add your schedules under the tab ‘Schedules’ on the left panel of counselor dashboard. You can add details such as sessions name, time, venue, fees and number of clients you wish to take up.
Yes, you can by clicking on ‘Action’ button corresponding to the schedule title and then ‘Edit’ option.
You need to click on ‘Leave Plan’ tab on your left panel of the dashboard. This tab allows a counsellor to mark leaves. By clicking on this tab, counselors can mark their leaves by mentioning the leave period and a reason. Upon marking leaves, booked appointments will cancel and an email will be sent to the clients/jobseekers who have booked your appointment via NCS portal
You can use ‘View Pending Approvals’ tab on the left panel of your dashboard. Upon clicking this tab you will get the list of appointment requests by the jobseekers.  You need to click on the ‘Action’ button on the view pending approvals screen and select ‘Approve/Reject’ option, enter a reason and then submit.
Yes, you can view the list of scheduled appointments under ‘View Appointments’ tab on the left panel of your dashboard. You can select the date of the appointments from the calendar and click on ‘Get Schedules’ button.
Yes. You can cancel the approved appointment, by going to the ‘View Appointments’ screen and selecting the respective appointment, click on ‘Action’ button and then select ‘Cancel’ option to delete the appointment. Upon cancelling, an email will be sent to the client.
You may maintain remarks or assessment results at your personal level as and when you give counselling to any NCS user, because NCS Portal does not have any such functionality that allows you to save results individually.

You can also use the career center infrastructure to deliver counselling services by collaborating with the concerned nodal officer. To get the address and contact details of the career center near your area, on the homepage, click on Search tab and choose ‘Find Career Center’ to get all the required information.
Yes, you can mention your preferred time and venue in the availability calendar, in your profile. Anybody seeking counselling will be able to see your availability for the given time and venue only.

Placement/Staffing (Flexi/Permanent/Temporary)/ Overseas placement agencies, hiring job-seekers on the behalf of employers, fall under category of placement organizations. A placement organization can hire candidates for their own requirements too. Also, private job portals, interested in partnering with NCS, can register as placement organization.
You could register online on the portal www.ncs.gov.in or visit the nearest Model Career Center to get registered. You can also request the call center executive to register you by providing the required details.

​One must furnish basic details of organization as well as the individual who is registering the organization.
-The required Organization’s details- include organization’s name, registration number (a valid Government/LIN/ISF/MOIA/Other registration ID), brief description on organization's profile, registered office address, company email id, phone number and organization’s PAN Card number
-Individual Details of person registering- include name, unique identification document number such as Aadhaar Card number or PAN card number, date of birth, email id and designation in the said organization.

OTP is One Time Password. It is a security code that you will receive on your mobile to validate that the entered mobile number is yours. You need to enter this code to complete the registration process.
Delays may occur due to heavy traffic on the portal. One can also click on ‘resend OTP’, to get an OTP second time in cases of delay in the first instance.
You will get an SMS alert with NCS ID having 19 characters on your registered mobile number once your registration process is complete. Also, the same NCS ID will flash on the webpage once your registration process is complete. This will be a unique ID linked to your profile on NCS.
You have 9 attempts to guess the password before the profile gets locked for security reasons. In case, you don’t want to attempt guessing the password, you can directly click on ‘Forgot Password?’ link in the login box and reset the password.
Yes, you can add more users to a single placement organization’s profile. The primary user (the one who registered the profile) will have to access ‘User Management’ tab on the left panel of the placement organization’s dashboard in order to add more Users to the profile.

​One can add up to 5 users per profile. To add a new user:
- Click on ‘User Management’ tab on the left panel of the employer’s dashboard
-Choose the appropriate role for the addition user under ‘Select Roles’.
-Click on ‘Add User’. It will take you to a screen.
-Fill in the personal details of the user (similar to what Primary user had filled in during registration process) in order to complete the process.
Once the user’s credentials are verified, he/she will be able to manage the placement organization’s profile.

​NCS portal offers three kinds of authorization roles to the additional users created under Employer's profile:
- Owner
- Admin
- Member
You can assign one of the above roles to these additional users by clicking on ‘Manage Roles’ corresponding to the user’s name in the User Management display screen. For more details,please refer to the user manual

Yes. As a registered Placement Organization you could use the Placement Organization’s dashboard on the portal to perform various activities. You will be able to post jobs and view complete profiles of the interested candidates under "Candidates who have applied" Tab for the said job posting. Also, you can view the other eligible candidates of a particular job posting under "Other Eligible Candidates" Tab.You can also shortlist candidates and send interview invites to them.
Yes, you can post jobs on behalf of as many employers as you want.

You can connect with the shortlisted candidates through the portal by sending them a notification about their interview invite. You can even send information on the mode of interview, interview date and interview venue to the shortlisted candidates in these invites. You can also directly connect with the shortlisted candidates on their registered email id or phone numbers mentioned in their profile.
Yes. You will receive alerts / notifications / invitations by the career centers regarding the job fairs on your registered email id, as updated on the portal. A Local Service Provider is the one who provides services like plumbing, driving, carpentry etc. in your local area. All the stakeholders registered on the portal can avail the services of a Local Service Provider.

It is advisable to Close Job and Notify Recruitment for the jobs posted on the portal after the recruitment process has been completed. After you login into your account, this can be done by clicking on the 'Jobs and Responses' link in the panel on the left side of the screen. Click on the action button corresponding to the job posting which you wish to close. Select 'Close Job-Notify Recruitment' from the drop-down menu and fill in the relevant details therein. Closing jobs and notifying selections can make your organization eligible to be featured amongst the Monthly Top employers on the homepage of the portal.

Common Services Centers (CSCs) are a strategic cornerstone of the Digital India programme. They are the access points for delivery of various electronic services to villages in India, thereby contributing to a digitally and financially inclusive society. CSCs provide  services in the areas of  education, health, telemedicine by offering  web enabled services, including application forms, certificates, and utility payments such as electricity, telephone and water bill etc.

NCS has a tie-up with CSCs at Pan India level for delivering all portal related services  through these centers. NCS services such as registration of candidates and employers, matching and searching jobs, event information are accessible through this channel.Though NCS portal does not charge candidates or for any of its services,some nominal charges would be levied from the candidates (summarized in the table below) when the portal services are accessed through the CSCs.

Information on number of users registered would be available only on aggregate (Pan India level) and not for any specific CSC since common user ID and password are being used by all the operators.
CSC operators can charge the candidates a nominal fee based on the agreed fee structure. Besides this, they would not get any extra benefit as part of  NCS tieup.
A job fair is an event where employers and job seekers come together for job matching. Job Fairs can be launched only through the career centers. The list of ongoing and upcoming Job Fairs can be accessed at the Job Fairs and Events section of the NCS Homepage.
The details of all on-going and upcoming job fairs, Placement Drives and Events are available on the Calendar which can be accessed at Job Fairs and Events scroller on the homepage. The current status of each job fair/event is separately identifiable with different colors (green for ongoing Job Fair/event and blue for Future Job Fair/event).​ The job fair/event details can be seen by clicking on the job fair/event name.
On the Job Fair Calendar, user can use search functionality to find various job fairs and events. User can search on the basis of State, District and Industry to display specific job fairs or events pertaining to the selected search criteria. User can select his search criteria from the drop down list for each criteria and click 'Search'.​
At the bottom of the NCS home page, click on the section Job Fair & Events. The monthly calendar view of Job Fairs will be visible. This calendar shows the job fair and events conducted during that month across India.Search for a relevant Job Fair/event, identify & click on the job fair where you want to participate and then user will be directed to a pop-up with the details of the selected job fair.Click on 'Participate' button and provide the NCS login credentials.On successful login, job seeker will have to indicate preference for jobs posted in job fair (refer to question 9) in order to participate in job fair.
Yes. The new job seeker will have to first register on the NCS portal and login through his new credentials to participate in the job fair. Already registered job seekers can also use their existing NCS IDs to participate in the job fair.​

A jobseeker needs to follow below mentioned steps:-After successful login, in the job-seeker dashboard, the job-seekers needs to click on the 'Job Fair / Event' link.
-A list of all the on-going, upcoming job fairs will be displayed.
-Click on the Job Fair in which you wish to participate.
-A pop-up depicting the job fair details will appear.
-Click on the 'Proceed' button.

The job seeker can select the jobs to be added in his job bucket/preference list by clicking the '+' option in front of each job. All selected jobs will be displayed in the job bucket with the job at the top of list indicating the first preference and the job at end of list indicating last preference.
-Click on 'Submit Participation' to confirm your participation the job fair.

In the job preference list, select the job to be removed and click on the 'X' button. This will remove the job from preference list of job fair.
Job seeker can navigate to the job fair details page for the desired job fair. Job seeker can change his preference for any job by selecting the job from his job bucket/preference list and clicking on the 'up' and 'down' arrow buttons to move the job up or down in the preference list.

-Add newly created jobs to Job Fair (refer to question 15)
-Add already posted NCS jobs to Job Fair (refer to question 16)​

Yes, an employer can add new jobs to a job fair following the steps below:
On clicking the link - 'Add Jobs to Job Fair', the user is provided with two options for adding new or already existing jobs in the job fair.
- Using the option- 'Add new jobs to Job Fair', an employer will be able to add new jobs to the job fair which will get posted to the job fair as well as the NCS portal. ​All the mandatory fields are required to be filled-in to post the job to the job fair.​​

​Yes, an employer can add already posted NCS jobs to a job fair.
On clicking the link - 'Add Jobs to Job Fair', the user is provided with two options for adding new or already existing jobs in the job fair.
-Using the option- 'Add NCS jobs to Job Fair', an employer can add already existing NCS jobs to the job fair.
-The already existing NCS jobs posted by the employer will be displayed in a table.
-The employer can select the required jobs from the table and click on 'Post to Job Fair'.​
-This will lead to addition of existing active NCS jobs posted by the employer to the job fair.​

No, it is mandatory for an employer to post at least one job to the job fair for participation in the job fair.
No, the employer cannot add inactive jobs to the job fair. Only active jobs can be added.
No, the employer cannot add jobs which have expiry date before the job fair end date.​ However, employer can extend the expiry date of such jobs by using the "Edit Job" functionality and then add them to the job fair.
No, the jobs will get removed from the job fair, but they will still be available on the NCS portal.
